Isn’t my boyfriend cute? He got me “Kissy, Charla, and Mimi” during the 3 free ZOYA promotion.
Now my ZOYA collection is up to six polishes!
And its official, I am now a ZOYA addict!
As soon as my boyfriend forwarded me the email saying that his shipment was on its way from the 3 free promotion, I couldn’t hold back my excitement! Everyday I would ask him… “has the mail come?? where are my polishes?” and for a week his answer would be “not yet…no”. Finally the tracking said that it was at the post office near his house. I told him that he better come over with it, or I wasn’t going to let him inside of my house. Well, the packaged stayed at the post office over night and I had to let him in either way because he had my dinner and I was hungry , total bummer! I really wanted to try out my new polishes, for me it felt like I was six years old and waiting for Christmas morning, it just wouldn’t come fast enough. Well Saturday eventually came and Miguel brought the package from ZOYA around 9pm. I had been waiting all day for them, but boy were they worth that excruciating wait!
In all my excitement I had forgotten what three polishes he had ordered me. I thought that he had ordered Mimi, Carly and Tori. So it was an even BIGGER surprise when I opened the box and saw Charla, Kissy and Mimi. No matter I loved them just the same and was really thrilled to have them !
“Kissy” was part of the holiday/winter 2011 collection “Gems & Jewels”. It’s a clear based polish that is loaded with red, pink, purple metallic glitter dust. And what made me lust over this polish was that it was one of the only ZOYA polishes that contains BAR GLITTER!! One of my favorite glitters of all time. Since it’s a clear based polish I didn’t want to layer so many coats to get full coverage so I used two coats of Blaze as undies.
I had no issues with Kissy. The formula went on smooth, there was no curling of the bar glitters and it dried very quickly.
“Charla” is from ZOYA’s “Sparkle” collection. This polish is a beyond gorgeous in person! It’s a blue/teal/green sparkling metallic polish. In sunlight it looks like the tropical blue waters of the Caribbean. In the shade it sparkles like a tropical lagoon, teal/green, just looking at it makes me want to go on vacation.
I was expecting Charla to be opaque in one coat (as per the website), however it took three thin coats to get full coverage. The formula levels out every well on the nail and I had no issues with streaking. Charla dries to a smooth finish, I didn’t really need to use a top coat.
“Mimi” is also from ZOYA’s “Sparkle” collection. I guess I only need to get the other four polishes to complete this collection, I need to look into that once I finish paying my bills for this month… maybe I’ll treat myself.
Mimi is a beyond gorgeous in person! The website doesn’t do it justice. It’s sparkling deep purple metallic polish. In sunlight this nail polish sparkles red, blue and purple, in the shade it sparkles purple and copper.
I was expecting Mimi to be opaque in one coat (as per the website), however it took three thin coats to get full coverage. The formula levels out every well on the nail and I had no issues with streaking. Mimi dries to a smooth finish, I didn’t really need to use a top coat.
